Beta Testers Needed (updated)

iPhone Beta Tester

Beta Testers Needed: One of the application developers who frequents the site is in need of your help in beta testing a new mail application. Here are the details:

I’m looking for a number of people to help beta-test a new web-app for the iPhone - it relies on them being on O2, wanting to be able to receive picture message and (ideally) having been sent one already that you’ve not been able to see on the iPhone (and O2 have sent you the text message inviting you to view it on the web).

I’ve produced an application which allows you to view O2 MMS messages in an iPhone-friendly format, much like the native Mail app. It’s entirely web based so obviously doesn’t require you to hack your iPhone in any way. To give you an idea of what I’m trying to achieve have a look at http://www.iapps.co.uk/mmsinbox.png.

http://www.iapps.co.uk - Remember that when you help a developer, it helps everyone because it equates to more applications for all of us to use. Good luck Ross!

    Thanks!

  5. Thanks for your interest in the iPhone MMS app…

I’m afraid my sites are one of the many in the UK that are being affected by the 123-reg.co.uk DNS outage ( See: http://www.iross.net/blog/2007/11/17/123reg-outage/ )

I believe that iapps.co.uk is now back up from most places, although some ISPs may still have incorrect DNS information cached - it definitely works on O2 EDGE for me :)

If you want to try again now I believe it will probably work, I’m in the process of moving all my DNS to another provider.

    Regards,

    Ross
