Tubes is on a cleverly-named site (mindtheapp.com) that offers the status of the major Tubes. It’s updated every five minutes and if you’ve ever been caught waiting, then you know how valuable knowing IF there’s another one coming is. I personally have gotten stuck before and if I had an iPhone then I wouldn’t have wasted 45 minutes waiting around for the never-coming next one. Must-have for tubers.

Ummm, don’t you need to be connected to the network for this to work? There’s no signal on most of the tube network…

Ummm if you were at the tube station you wouldn’t be checking the service status on your phone! Some of us plan before we go out or before we get to the Tube.

It’s a little more comprehensive than this, which is little more than an en-route info graphic cum PR apology used by tfl anyway…
Now, a widget with my dlr platform info would be more useful…
